Azo dyes are the most widely used synthetic dyes in textile and garment printing and dyeing processes. They are used in the dyeing and printing of a variety of natural and synthetic fibers, as well as in the coloring of paints, plastics and rubber. Under special conditions, it can decompose and produce more than 20 kinds of carcinogenic aromatic amines. The activation of the DNA structure of the human body causes lesions and induces cancer. Azo dyes are the most widely used types of dyes. In the production and application process, about 10%-15% of the dye is discharged into the environment without treatment and may seriously affect the health of the contact. Therefore, the azo wastewater must be detoxified prior to discharge. At present, there are various methods for treating azo wastewater, and the microbial decolorization method is considered to be the most effective and environmentally friendly method.
